Monthly Archives: June 2011 It’s much easier to put on a brave face during the day time. But at night, when the darkness closes in, the screaming of my heart overwhelms me and the brave face is washed away by the tears. I can tell you all day long that I will accept God’s decision, whatever it may be....  It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… Several weeks ago one of my friends asked me how the kids were doing. I said, “Oh, they’re great! They’re at the best age!” She looked at me as if I had two heads. She replied, “Ummm, aren’t they 1 ½ and 2... After yesterday’s post, my friend Amy – who happens to be one of the most beautiful, amazing women I know, sent me the following note on facebook. I cannot begin to express how much it encouraged and blessed me. Numbness What words can conquer numbness? What quote can one provide that brings comfort? None. All...  Fourteen months ago I opened my home to a beautiful little girl who was not quite two. She had been bounced around quite a bit already and I thought she would only be staying for a few months. I cannot begin to describe to you the challenges of taking care of an 8 month old... I think comparison is one of Satan’s favorite weapons against Christians. I’m often guilty of looking at other women – moms, wives, Christians – and wishing I were more like them. They seem to have it all together. They are so good at juggling cooking, cleaning, ministry, and still seem to raise the most beautiful,... |
